Amaravati: An 11-year-old boy died after a wall collapsed in Tenali mandal of Andhra Pradesh, taking the death toll in incidents related to the very severe cyclonic storm Arnab to six, an official said on Thursday.

Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) Managing Director Prakhar Jain told PTI that the incident occurred around 9 pm on Wednesday when the boy was going out.

Jain said the weather was more or less calm across the state and around 90 per cent of blocked roads had been cleared and snapped power lines restored. Restoration work would continue on Thursday, he added.

Some evacuees were still staying in cyclone shelters and would be sent back to their homes once their villages had been sanitised, he said.
